Places of Worship on the Heritage at Risk Register

Each year, Historic England publish a new Heritage at Risk Register. The Register gives an annual snapshot of the health of England’s valued historic buildings and places. It helps to ensure they can be protected and continue to be enjoyed in the future. The latest Register was published on 14 November 2024.

Places of Worship are a key part of the Heritage at Risk Register. The overwhelming majority of these are churches, chapels and meeting houses, with a small number of synagogues, mosques and temples.
